 * Prepare a 15 - 20 page journal that you can use to write and draw in. (Journals)
* Choose a place in the world, or go in to a nearby natural area near your home
* On the cover of the journal, draw and label "Your 'Location' Ecology Book"
* On the second page, make a table of contents... to fill out as you add pages to your book

Part One:
* What kind of biome (ecosystems) are in this area? 
* Choose (3) animals, (3) plants, and (3) insects that live in the area
* Take/find pictures of each so that you can see them clearly
* Draw a diagram of your animals, plants, and insects -Lable the MIP's (Most important Parts)
* Research either by computer or field investigation (working outside) the population of each organism in the area
* Research the human population in the area. (clickable Human Population Map)

Part Two
* Can you make any connections between your biome and the human population in the area? 
* How do humans impact this area? 
* In general, rate your location on a scale of 1-10 to how much impact humans change, manage, impact this area.  1 being lowest, 10 being highest
